Looking for a great long-lasting foundation? Need extra coverage? Looking for something light-weight & smooth matte finish? Well I have found a new favorite product to recommend to you that is the answer to all those questions! It is Kat Von D's Lock-It Tattoo Foundation.
I had the honors of being part of a glam squad for a pageant this past weekend and I was looking for a new concealer to try and decided to use this foundation as a concealer and WOW! The results were amazing! I had never used any of Kat Von D's products before but another makeup artist introduced me to it and I am so glad that she did. Take note that a "little" goes a long way. You don't want to look cakey. This product is buildable if needed.
*Please be aware if you have very dry skin, then a matte foundation would not be a great choice for you. Oily skin tends to work better with matte foundations or someone who lives in a humid climate. But of course with anything it is all about preparation! Start with a clean, moisturize face. Primers work well with assisting matte foundations to go on smoothly. Choose the appropriate primer based off your skin type: oily, dry, or sensitive. For instance, if you have oily skin then an oil-free/oil-control primer will be great for you to help minimize the "shine" throughout the day. Also, during application, I have found the best tool to use is a Beauty Blender. This product can dry quickly so using a tool that distributes the product evenly and beautifully, like the Beauty Blender is key!
This foundation is also awesome for covering tattoos, veins, acne scars, etc. It's a must try!
